Safety and Consent

Accessibility

The location we are using has some accessibility challenges. We’ve written a separate document covering most of the specifics. This document can be found here.

Nudity

We do not allow nudity at this larp. We play with very sensitive topics and forbidding nudity as a whole will make calibration easier. We expect players of all genders to at least wear underwear that covers the genitals, buttocks and nipples.

Alcohol and drugs

This is a no-alcohol event. We don’t allow any alcohol during the days we play with the exception of the afterparty.

All recreational drugs (including cannabis) are banned from our events.

The clerks – organisers in game

At least one organiser will always be present during the game. Organisers will be playing the clerks of the cult. Tasked with making sure everything runs smoothly, they can help you with both in-game and off-game questions or direct you to the right person. You can recognise them by their ‘’clerk’’ name tag. If they are not wearing their tag, they are either playing a role or working on a project that renders them unavailable for players to interact with.

Player support

In principle, any member of the organisation team – and potentially some additional crew and/or staff – act as player support. The members of the player support team will be pointed out during the pre-game workshops. If a participant, for some reason, needs support – whether it is to look for a way to get back into the game after having taken a nap during in-game hours or a safety-related event occurring – they can look for a member of the player support team and they will promptly help you.

Private spaces

If needed, members of the player support team can also offer to take you to a safety room, if emotional or physical safety needs to be discussed in a more private setting. Participants can only access this room when instructed to do so by a member of the player support team.

If you need to be in a private or more relaxed space for other reasons, you can use your sleeping quarters for that. Rooms will house 2 to 4 participants each, and they are always off-game.

For safety reasons, we expect participants to stick to the room they are registered for and not, by their own initiative, change rooms for any reason without consulting the organizers.

Shortly before the game, you will receive a form that allows you to register your preferred roommates. We will attempt to put you in the same room as them if they also register you as a preferred roommate. Obviously, we cannot guarantee that this works for everyone.
